BE A PROUD INDIAN
In this world there are various things we come across in our daily life. One such good thing which I heard from our friend today is about the growing awareness in our future generation. Those who are exposed to Asian Culture be it from any other country or countries which they have learnt and are applying in their life.
GOOD THINGS CAN BE GOT FROM ANY SOURCE
There is this incident to teach me about being a proud Indian. My friend's wife and his son discussing about the shopping which they have to do for his overseas travel to Japan. They planned the places, things etc., for the purchases. While they were talking, the mother suggested to her son to purchase some of the items from the military canteen where the prices will be lower compared to other places.
But the son was shocked and asked her why we are like this? We are all educated people but our actions are not like that, it will be just like a theft from others if any person was misusing the military canteen. The canteen is actually for the military families because they are suffering for us in various situations in the border for the defense of our country. So the government was offering concession for those people and I wont accept your idea and it will just like a theft.
By the mother argued that many people doing various mischievous and why we cant do this simple thing?
To which the son replied, Amma, that is not right. Just because somebody is doing a wrong thing, it should not encourage us to misuse such facilities intended for specific people.
I am happy to hear about this incident because our country and even world is in the SAFE hands of our future generations.

A man once visited an Indian temple under construction where he saw a talented Indian sculptor making an idol of Shivalinga. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby.
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?"
"No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage."
The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked.
"There is a scratch on the Trishul of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work.
"Where are you going to install the idol?"
The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high.
"If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the Trishul?" the gentleman asked.
The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."
The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not. "Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside.
Excellence is not for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction.
