MAHA VILLVAM :
Villvam is a tree in which there will be only 3 leaves jointly. But in Maha villvam we can see more than 6 leaves jointly. It is very rare and can found only in few trees.
In this temple we can see maha villvam under that they established Anjaneyar called villva Anjaneyar. There is also a Banyan tree which is powerful and one who rounds the tree with trust can attain/fetch all goodness in their life.
They also doing Mahanyaasam mean homam in which they chant mantrams to agni to get some powers from that and they upload these powers in water and that water is used for swamy abhishekam.
This is done by a gurukal named bhasker who is a scholar in Aagamam (Subject indulged only with pooja, Kumbhabishegam and all other related works of temple) in Grandham language. This language is rarely used currently and known to 20th century peoples and current Aagamam scholars as well.

The temple is located at about 30 kms from Chennai on the right side of the Grand North Trunk (GNT) Road (to Kolkatta) between Karanodai Bridge/ Toll gate and Gummidipoondi.
Agathiyar established 108 Shiva Temples and this is said to be 107th Temple to do tapas. Sage Agasthiar conducted five yagnas in Pancheshti. Ishti means Yagna). Since the place is blessed by Agasthar, there is copious ground water.

Pradosham After my Second visit to Kailash, On this Pradosham day we went to Village Neyveli near Poondi. This temple is now under construction and Ramamoorthy is taking all efforts. They are now planning for Annadhanam every Pournami. There is a belief that Sidhdhars are visiting this temple. On the way to this temple, the Government of India has cordoned off some areas where they believe that Stone Age civilisation existed.
